Mark Making Log Slices

A set of 10 beautiful chalkboard log slices, each approximately 8–9cm, hand-sawn from responsibly sourced wood in the Peak District. Painted in chalkboard paint and decorated with mark making symbols, these make a wonderful hands-on resource for early writing and mark making activities.

Each slice is unique — you'll receive pieces similar in size and shape to those shown. As a natural product, there may be slight variations, loose bark, or minor imperfections, which I think add to their rustic charm.

Care & Storage

Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. To preserve them, I recommend sealing with linseed oil — safe for use with children. Check slices regularly as natural wood can split or lose bark over time.

Please note: These are a learning resource for early writing and mark making, not a toy. Always supervise young children closely when using natural materials.
